August is Vaccine Awareness Month
Vaccines are a safe and effective way to protect yourself and your family from serious diseases. Getting your vaccines at the recommended times improves their effectiveness even more. You have the power to protect against vaccine-preventable diseases.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is now easier to access
988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This three-digit code makes it easier for people to call or text the national mental health crisis line when in need. Think of it as 911 for mental health emergencies.
When people call or text 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
We can all help prevent suicide. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones.
We encourage you to share this potentially lifesaving information with your friends and family. Take care of yourself and each other.
New CDC COVID Recommendations
June 22, 2022 – Children age 6 months & older are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccines. The CDC recommends that all children 6 months and older get COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination is the best way to protect our children, friends, and families from COVID-19.
Make an appointment to talk to your provider and get the COVID-19 vaccine for your child today!
June 22, 2022 – Please note that we are transitioning to only stocking and administering the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine. We are no longer scheduling 1st dose Moderna vaccine appointments. We will continue to schedule Moderna 2nd doses, additional doses and boosters using our remaining Moderna supply.
Why are we transitioning to only stocking and administering Pfizer?
– For the 6mo – 4 year age group, Pfizer is 80% effective while Moderna is only 50% effective.
– Pfizer provides vaccines for more age groups than Moderna (Moderna does not have a vaccine for 6 years through 17 years).
– The FDA and CDC have not stated a preference for one mRNA vaccine over another. They equally recommend both vaccines.
– The FDA has authorized the use of mix-and-match booster doses for currently available COVID-19 vaccines based on the results of a NIAID-supported study.

Who We Are

For more than 40 years, Clinica has existed to provide health care to the individuals and families in our community at a price they can afford. Young or old, people of any race or ethnicity or income level—we are here to provide them with exceptional health care because no one should have to choose between obtaining the health care they need and other necessities such as housing or food.
Our Mission
Clinica exists to be the medical and dental care provider of choice for low-income and other underserved people in south Boulder, Broomfield and west Adams counties. Our care shall be culturally appropriate and prevention focused.
Our Vision
Our vision for the future is that every low income and other underserved person in south Boulder, Broomfield and west Adams counties will have access to high quality, preventative medical and dental care that is integrated with behavioral health and dental care.
Opening Soon!
We are pleased to announce the opening of our two new mountain clinics! Medical clinics will open at the High Country Professional Building in Gilpin County and the Hub Ned building in Nederland. Both clinics will offer a full scope of primary care services including well visits, prenatal care, immunizations, chronic disease treatment, lab services, minor surgical procedures and acute care.
Due to construction delays and supply chain issues, the clinics are now expected to open in mid-July. We apologize for the delay but look forward to joining the community soon!
