Misae Vela Brol, NP
Philosophy of Care: I believe that everyone has a right to high quality healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay, and that all patients deserve to be listened to. I believe that a person’s health is not only physical, but involves their mind and spirit. The relationship between a patient and their provider is an equal partnership and one that involves mutual trust and respect.
Why I Choose to Work at Clinica: I have chosen to work at CFH because I believe in their mission, vision, and values. CFH works with patients to help them be their best self, knowing that if they are their best self, they can be active participants in their families and communities. I also enjoy being able to care for entire families through all stages of their life.
Additional Education: Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, 2001
Professional Affiliations: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
Outside Clinica: In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy hiking, traveling, going to the movies and eating good food. I also enjoy watching my older daughter compete in gymnastics and my younger daughter acting and singing on stage.
Volunteer Experience: Served in Peace Corps Bolivia from 1998-2000, as a health educator. Served on the St. Anthony’s North hospital board of directors from 2008 to 2017.
