Mary Karner received her Masters Degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1983. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.

A native of Denver, Ms. Karner joined Clinica in 1989. She believes that "everyone has their own definition of what health is" and she wants to "work with patients as a partner in their healthcare decision-making".

Ms. Karner is married and has one child. She enjoys time with her family, gardening, camping and river running.
