She received her MSW from DU School of Social Work.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she came to Colorado in 1972 and first came to Clinica in 1988. She came to and has remained at Clinica for 15 years because she is “very committed to the mission and values of Clinica”. She “can’t see working elsewhere”, as she believes that “Clinica is always striving to be the best in all areas” and she finds her job is “always challenging and exciting”. Her healthcare philosophy is “every person should have access to affordable and adequate healthcare, no matter what their income level or race”.
As well as her work at Clinica, she is a mother of three sons, has been a certified Lamaze instructor for over 22 years and is currently teaching at Boulder Foothills Hospital.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, making beaded jewelry, knitting, reading mysteries and traveling when she can.
