Heather Swanson received her Masters in Nursing Degree with the specialty of Nurse-Midwifery from the University of New Mexico in 2002. In 2006 she completed a post-masters certificate from University of Nebraska Medical Center and added Family Nurse Practitioner to her credentials. She is nationally certified as a Certified Nurse Midwife and internationally certified as a Lactation Consultant.
Heather was born in Nebraska and splits her time between her home State and Colorado. She is excited to be at Clinica and work in the Certified Nursing Midwife Program. She believes everyone deserves to be heard and be provided with accurate information and education about their healthcare.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking bread, walking her dogs in the country, involvement with her local church, attending college athletic events and volunteering time promoting the ‘Midwifery Model of Care.’
